Effective Notice
This Jurigate Terms of Service ("Agreement") applies to your access, registration, subscription, purchase, or use of the website, applications, software, upload processing features, OCR features, AI analysis features, search features, export features, evidence organization features, and related services (collectively, "Service") provided by Jurigate. By accessing the Service, registering an account, clicking to agree, purchasing a subscription, uploading files, using features, or otherwise actually using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to this Agreement, please do not use the Service. If you are using this Service on behalf of an organization, firm, law company, or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Agreement.
I. Definitions and Nature of Service
Service Definition
Jurigate is a technical tool platform for digital material organization, screenshot management, OCR text extraction, AI-assisted classification, semantic search, evidence package export, numbering processing, archival organization, and related analysis.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Your use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Jurigate is not a law firm and does not provide professional legal representation or malpractice insurance.
Service Scope
The Service provides automated evidence processing and cloud-based data hosting. While Jurigate provides storage capacities based on your subscription, the Service is a dynamic litigation workflow tool, not a fail-safe permanent legal archive.
II. Account Registration and Eligibility
Information Obligations
When registering or using the Service, you shall provide true, accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, and update such information promptly when changes occur. You shall properly safeguard your account, password, verification codes, API keys, and other authentication credentials, and you are responsible for all activities conducted through your account. If you discover any unauthorized access, use, or any security incident, you shall immediately notify Jurigate.
Prohibited Conduct
You shall not:
1. Rent, lend, resell, or transfer your account;
2. Forge identity or impersonate others;
3. Bypass access controls, subscription limits, billing limits, or security mechanisms;
4. Allow unauthorized third parties to use your account.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have obtained proper authorization from such organization.
III. Subscription, Billing, and Payment
Plans and Pricing
Jurigate may offer free versions, trial versions, monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, add-on feature packages, additional seats, additional storage, or other paid services. Specific prices, features, quotas, billing cycles, and limitations are as displayed on the order page or as specified in written commercial terms at the time of your order. Unless otherwise required by applicable law or explicitly promised by Jurigate, fees already paid are generally non-refundable.
Free Trial
Jurigate may offer a 7-day free trial period for new subscribers. During the trial period, you may access all or part of the features of your selected plan without advance payment. At the end of the trial period, if you have not cancelled your subscription before the trial expires, the system will automatically begin charging according to your selected billing cycle and payment method. You may cancel at any time during the trial period, and trial privileges will continue until the trial period ends.
Auto-Renewal
If your subscription is an auto-renewing plan, at the beginning of each renewal cycle, the system will automatically charge using your authorized payment method, unless you cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle begins. If payment failure, chargeback, revocation, fraud dispute, refund dispute, or payment channel abnormality occurs, Jurigate has the right to suspend or restrict your access to all or part of the Service.
Merchant of Record & Deadlines
Jurigate uses third-party Merchants of Record (e.g., Lemon Squeezy). Payment verification is an independent process. Any delay in document access caused by payment holds, fraud flags, or third-party outages is not the responsibility of Jurigate. Users are strictly advised to complete exports at least 48 hours prior to any court deadlines.
Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation, your service privileges within the current billing cycle will remain valid until the cycle ends, after which no further renewal will occur and your account will be downgraded to the Free plan or applicable plan. Fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable, but you may continue to use the Service until the current cycle ends.
Upgrade and Downgrade
If you upgrade your plan during the current billing cycle, the new plan will take effect immediately, with the price difference prorated based on remaining days. If you downgrade your plan, the downgrade will take effect after the current billing cycle ends. Downgrading may result in some features or data exceeding the new plan quotas; you should process relevant data in advance.
Refund Policy
Jurigate generally does not provide unconditional refunds. However, in the following limited exceptional circumstances, Jurigate may consider refund requests at its discretion:
1. Duplicate charges: Multiple charges within the same billing cycle due to system or payment channel errors;
2. Obvious billing error: Charges with obviously incorrect amounts due to platform technical faults;
3. Platform technical failure: Core Jurigate features are unavailable for a reasonable period due to platform-side causes;
4. Refund request shortly after first payment, with no significant resource consumption (e.g., extensive OCR processing, AI analysis, or export operations);
5. Other circumstances required by law.
The following circumstances generally do not constitute grounds for refund:
1. Forgot to cancel trial or renewal;
2. Significant use of core processing resources (e.g., OCR, AI analysis, exports, etc.);
3. Requesting refund after completing high-consumption actions such as OCR/AI analysis/export;
4. Subjective dissatisfaction only while service has been provided normally;
5. Usage barriers caused by your own device, network, browser, or third-party account issues.
For detailed refund rules and application procedures, please refer to the Billing and Refund Policy page.
Taxes
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, cross-border payment fees, currency exchange fees, sales tax, VAT, or other similar taxes arising from your purchase or use of the Service, unless applicable law explicitly requires Jurigate to bear such taxes.
IV. User Data and Uploaded Content
User Data Definition
"User Data" refers to any content you or someone on your behalf uploads, inputs, stores, submits, syncs, generates, or requests to be processed during your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
1. Screenshots, images, documents, chat records;
2. OCR text, tags, annotations, metadata;
3. Case names, classification information, descriptions;
4. Exported files, search requests, search conditions;
5. Other materials you actively submit to the Service for processing.
Data Ownership
You retain all rights, ownership, and interests in User Data as provided by applicable law. Jurigate does not acquire ownership of User Data by providing the Service.
Data Representations and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:
1. You have lawful rights to the User Data, or have obtained necessary authorizations;
2. Your uploading, processing, analyzing, exporting, sharing, or storing of relevant data does not violate any applicable law, court rules, confidentiality obligations, professional obligations, contractual obligations, or third-party rights;
3. If User Data contains personal information, sensitive personal information, minor information, client information, confidential materials, trade secrets, or other protected information, you have obtained the necessary lawful processing basis;
4. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and suitability of User Data.
Data Processing
To provide the Service, Jurigate may, within necessary scope, store, host, transcode, perform OCR extraction, index, search, classify, deduplicate, concatenate, export, compute encryption fingerprints, troubleshoot, conduct security audits, and provide customer support processing for User Data.

OCR / AI Recognition Error Disclaimer
OCR text extraction and AI classification, annotation, summarization, and other feature outputs may contain recognition errors, classification biases, or information omissions. You should not treat OCR or AI output as a completely accurate reproduction of original files, and should perform manual verification before formal use.
Exported Materials Do Not Automatically Meet Court Rules
Evidence materials, briefs, or documents exported through the Service do not automatically meet the procedural rules, evidence rules, or format requirements of any jurisdiction's courts. You should independently determine and ensure that exported materials comply with relevant requirements in your jurisdiction.
Platform Is Not a Law Firm
Jurigate is a technical tool platform, not a law firm, and does not provide legal representation, legal opinions, or guarantees of legal conclusions. Any output from the Service does not constitute legal advice and should not replace the professional judgment of qualified attorneys.
Professional Disclaimer
The accuracy of Bates numbering, line alignment, and exhibit indexing is subject to user verification. Jurigate shall not be liable for any court sanctions, rejected filings, or malpractice claims arising from the use of its output.
VI. Acceptable Use Policy

You shall not use the Service to engage in the following activities, nor allow third parties to engage in the following activities:
1. Violating applicable laws and regulations, court rules, professional standards, or contractual obligations;

3. Uploading viruses, trojans, malicious code, crawlers, scripts, or other harmful technologies;
4. Reverse engineering, cracking, bypassing, interfering with, testing, or destroying the Service's security mechanisms or access controls;
5. Unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or system resources;
6. Forging evidence, forging sources, forging metadata, or intentionally misleading third parties;
7. Using the Service to develop products that compete with Jurigate;
8. Unreasonably consuming system resources or affecting other users' use.
Violation Handling
Jurigate has the right to investigate suspected violations and may, depending on the circumstances, take measures such as deleting content, restricting access, suspending service, terminating accounts, retaining logs, or cooperating with law enforcement.
VII. Data Security and Confidentiality
Security Measures
Jurigate will take commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect User Data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. However, you understand that no Internet transmission, cloud infrastructure, third-party service, or software system can guarantee absolute security. You should independently determine whether to upload highly sensitive information, information protected by professional confidentiality obligations, significant trade secrets, or other specially restricted information to the Service, and bear the associated risks.
Disclosure Rules
Except for the following circumstances, Jurigate will not intentionally disclose your User Data to unrelated third parties:
1. Necessary for providing the Service;
2. With your authorization or instruction;
3. To fulfill legal obligations, court orders, or regulatory requirements;
4. To investigate security incidents, fraud, infringement, or illegal activities;
5. Reasonably necessary to protect the legitimate interests of Jurigate, other users, or the public.
Storage and Backup
Jurigate maintains User Data during active subscriptions. Notwithstanding our paid storage services, you are strictly required to maintain independent, local copies of all original evidence. Jurigate's liability for any data loss is limited to the storage fees paid for the affected period and does not extend to consequential legal losses.
VIII. Intellectual Property
Jurigate and all intellectual property related to the Service, including the website, applications, software, interfaces, trademarks, logos, code, algorithms, database structures, documentation, templates, page designs, and related intellectual property, are owned by Jurigate or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of applicable fees, Jurigate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely within your internal business scope. Except as expressly permitted by law or with Jurigate's written consent, you shall not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, extract source code, or create derivative products based on the Service. Any feedback, suggestions, opinions, requirements, or improvement ideas you submit to Jurigate may be used by Jurigate without compensation for product improvement, development, and commercialization.
IX. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate, call, depend on, or link to third-party services, including but not limited to: cloud hosting and infrastructure services, payment processing and Merchant of Record services, OCR services, AI model and inference services, logging/analytics/notification and email services, identity verification and access control services. Jurigate does not guarantee the continuous availability, security, stability, legality, or performance of third-party services. If a third-party service experiences interruption, changes, fee adjustments, interface restrictions, policy changes, or unavailability, and thereby affects some functions of the Service, Jurigate will make reasonable efforts to mitigate the impact but is not responsible for consequences beyond its reasonable control.
X. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
Service Modification
Jurigate has the right to add, modify, restrict, replace, or discontinue all or part of features based on business development, legal compliance, security requirements, or product strategy.
Suspension and Termination
If you violate this Agreement, pose security risks, default on payments, engage in illegal activities, infringe third-party rights, or if Jurigate reasonably determines that continuing to provide the Service would create risk, Jurigate has the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service. You may cancel your subscription or stop using the Service according to the product interface or relevant instructions. Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, termination or cancellation does not automatically result in refund of fees already paid. After service termination, Jurigate may delete, anonymize, or process relevant data according to its data retention policy, except for data required to be retained by law, for dispute resolution, or for security audit purposes.
Data Retention
After service termination or account deletion, Jurigate will retain certain data for a reasonably necessary period according to applicable law and internal retention policies, including but not limited to: transaction and tax records, security audit logs, and information required to be retained by law. After the retention period expires, relevant data will be deleted or anonymized.
XI. Disclaimer
As-Is Basis
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jurigate makes no express, implied, statutory, or other form of warranty, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, error-free, virus-free, accuracy of results, evidence admissibility, court acceptance, commercial effectiveness, or satisfaction of specific needs.
No Guarantee
Jurigate does not guarantee:
1. The Service will always be uninterrupted, without delay, or without faults;
2. Uploaded content will not be delayed, damaged, or lost due to network, third-party services, system issues, or operational errors;
3. OCR, AI analysis, automatic numbering, automatic deduplication, concatenation, desensitization, summarization, or export results are absolutely accurate;
4. Materials formed using the Service will necessarily meet the procedural or evidence rules of your jurisdiction;
5. The Service can replace the judgment of attorneys, appraisal institutions, digital forensics experts, or other professionals.
XII. Limitation of Liability
Exclusion of Consequential Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jurigate and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, suppliers, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, business interruption, loss of data, loss of goodwill, cost of substitute procurement, litigation losses, regulatory penalties, or expanded legal liability.
Liability Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Jurigate's total liability for any claim arising out of this Agreement (including negligence) shall not exceed the greater of:
1. The total fees you actually paid to Jurigate during the six (6) months prior to the event giving rise to the liability;
2. $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain liabilities, so the above limitations may not fully apply in those jurisdictions, but shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
XIII. Indemnification
If any third party claims, demands, investigations, penalties, disputes, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arise from the following causes, you shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jurigate and its affiliates:
1. User Data you upload, process, share, export, or rely on;
2. The manner in which you use the Service;
3. Your violation of this Agreement;

XIV. Cross-Border Use and Export Compliance
You represent and warrant that you will not use the Service in countries, regions, industries, or with individuals or entities prohibited by applicable export control, economic sanctions, embargo, or restriction laws, nor will you use the Service for prohibited purposes. If the laws of your region restrict your access to or use of the Service, you should stop using it on your own. The accessibility of the Service in any region does not constitute a legal commitment by Jurigate in that region.
XV. Agreement Changes
Jurigate may modify this Agreement from time to time. Modified versions will be published on the website, application interface, or relevant pages, and will take effect from the date of publication or the specified effective date. If modifications materially affect your rights and obligations, Jurigate may notify you through in-app notifications, email, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after modifications take effect constitutes your acceptance of the modified Agreement. If you do not agree with the modifications, you should stop using the Service.
XVI. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Binding Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. This arbitration agreement does not preclude either party from seeking provisional remedies (such as injunctions) from a court of competent jurisdiction.
Forum Non Conveniens Waiver
You expressly agree that exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or dispute with Jurigate resides in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California. You waive any right to object to this venue on the grounds of inconvenient forum (Forum Non Conveniens), regardless of your physical location (e.g., Europe, Asia, etc.).
XVII. Miscellaneous
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity of other provisions.
No Waiver
Jurigate's failure to exercise or delay in exercising any right under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right.
Assignment
Without Jurigate's written consent, you may not assign your rights and obligations under this Agreement. Jurigate may assign this Agreement due to reorganization, merger, asset sale, or affiliate adjustments.
Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Service and supersedes any prior oral or written agreements regarding the Service, except for order forms, enterprise agreements, data processing agreements, or other written documents separately signed by both parties.
